I really never wanted to get a little mate for him, as he is 9 years old and I love the relationship we have! you have given me a lot of information to think about, in regards to fresh meat and raw foods, playing with him twice as much as I already do! building some shelves for him and a tree!(I’m disabled and he is my best bud, we nap together, we sleep together we play together we eat together you get the picture)he even sits on the breakfast nook when I’m doing dishes! and I have two bathrooms and he loves water he prefers to drink out of the faucet then out of a cup or a dish in fact if you have any readers that are having trouble with their cats drinking water tell them to try a plate! it worked for my boy????
